After reading Module 1: Identifying a Study Question/ Problem and Module 2: Selecting a study approach (Chaps. 1-10) and watching the videos on " Writing a Research Proposal" and " Research Methods – Introduction " answer the following questions below. The minimum word count for all three initial post questions (total) to the discussion board question(s) should be 500 words or more (excluding reinstatement of the discussion board questions and references). *Discussion #1 is based off your proposed topic from assignment #1. Therefore, you are answering question 1 based off your assignment #1 submission*. A) In your Assignment #1 proposal submission, you were required to provide a draft of the following: Working title, introduction, general problem statement, specific problem statement, purpose statement, research questions, and hypothesis. 1) Share with the class the following: -What is your research topic -What made you choose this topic -How is this topic related to Healthcare administration/Healthcare Services -Summary of the introduction (min. of one paragraph (5-6) complete sentences) -General problem statement -The purpose statement -One research question you plan to address 2) List and describe TWO main resources (articles/journals) you are going to utilize pertaining to your topic for the next assignment submission "Literature Review". 3) Locate a full text article pertaining to your research topic purposed in assignment #1 and give a brief synopsis/summarization (min. of two paragraphs) of the research article. Include your closing thoughts about the article. (Focus on what the article is stating and how does it pertain to your research topic of choice). You can use FIU Library and or do a Google Scholar Search. Do not use wikipedia. Post a link to the full text research article in (APA format). -Your experiences may be very helpful and interesting to all of us. However, be sure that you also back up your posts with factual information from the text (when it applies to the initial discussion board question (s) and responses to peers) or other creditable sources. B) Reply to a classmate: Critique your classmate post by including a respectful substantial response that includes supportive facts, details address your classmate by name and a minimum of 150 words or more (excluding references).The responses to your classmate’s postings should actively stimulate and sustain further discussion by building on peers’ responses including: — classmate by name — building a focused argument around a specific issue or — asking a new related question or — making an oppositional statement supported by personal experience or related research. — Your experiences may be very helpful and interesting to all of us. Discussion Board Grading Criteria: Thoroughly answered the question(s): 50 points are possible. A thorough answer will consist of complete sentences, and will address the question while drawing from the text or other credible source. A post that only has one-two sentences is not thorough and does not earn 50 points. Original post to the discussion question must be posted by Sunday 11:59pm(est) of each week. Correct APA formatted references: 10 points are possible. Please use your text (when it applies to a discussion) or any other credible reference to support your answers, and be sure to cite your sources correctly, following APA guidelines. Responded to ONE classmate: 30 points are possible. Your responses must be respectful, substantial (include supporting details and facts), and will address your classmate by name.
