Merits Evaluations

The purpose of an article critique is to read a research study and evaluate the merits of the study based on the researchers study design, sample size, statistical analysis and interpretation of the results.

1. What is an article critique and how do you write it?

2. What does an article critique look like?

Students will pick one of the four studies listed below and write an article critique. A good article critique will have one paragraph summarizing the article, and the rest of the paper focusing on the study’s research design, sample population and size, and statistical analysis.

Prepare your critique in MS Word with 1-inch margins on all sides, single spaced and 12 pt. Times New Roman font. This paper should not exceed 6 pages, including a cover page and bibliography. Upload your critique to the classroom assignment tab before the due date. Use Safeassign.
