Family Treatment Paper

Students will watch a movie about addiction/substance use disorder and family and apply a treatment model or models to working with them. The movie must involve at least one character struggling with addiction/substance use disorder, include scenes depicting the family interacting and gives you enough information about family dynamics that you could formulate a treatment plan or interventions. Using at least but not limited to one of the modalities discussed in the power point and articles, create a plan for how to work with this family as a family therapist. Possible movie choices that are free on YouTube

Include the following:

1. Why did you chose to work with the particular therapy model you did
   1. Provide a basic overview of the family in the movie and why you picked the model you did to help them
      
      
2. A description of the ways in which you will apply the model:
   1. A treatment plan with goals, objectives for the family and for individuals within the family if appropriate
   2. Description of a course of therapy. What will you do first, second, third, etc.
      
      
3. The course of therapy as described should be related to the theory upon which your work is based and your area of specialization.
   
   
4. Also include how you will know you have reached any treatment objectives or goals.
   
   
5. This should be in APA format (no abstract), include at least 4 peer reviewed journal or book references (no websites), and be between 7 and 10 pages (not including title and reference pages).
