Ethical Reputation

Your supervisor has given you some financial documentation for various business related accounts. You have been asked to document those transactions and create two financial statements to share with the finance manager. You will be creating:

• A balance sheet
• An income statement

Using the list of accounts found in the template that have been provided to you below, your supervisor has asked that you insert each account into the appropriate place in the correct financial statement.

Ethical behavior is very important to the success of a business. Over the years, many businesses in your community have suffered the negative publicity, and the legal and financial consequences associated with unethical actions. Your company has recently been experiencing some ethical issues, and based on the issues that have been occurring, management has asked you to create a code of ethics poster to display in various areas around the building to remind employees of the company’s expectations.

Specifically, your boss has asked that your poster include:

• Code of ethics to guide employee behavior within the company.
• Minimum of 5 principles and practices that the company should include in its code of ethics that would align with the culture that the company should be trying to create.
• Brief explanation of how each item is important to the ethical reputation of the company.
