However, in developing countries, the use of e-Commerce solutions remains low with a current e-Commerce usage rate of less than 2 percent. The general business problem is that many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries view the use of e-Commerce technologies as an unwarranted expense to doing business. The specific business problem is that many SMEs fail to remain in business because they are unable to attract and retain new customers.
