Instructions

Create a PowerPoint presentation demonstrates the ways that China influences surrounding kingdoms and people in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.

After completing the assignments and learning activities in Session 12, identify at least two ways in which China politically, culturally or religiously influenced each of the following regions: Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. You will also demonstrate one way that each region resisted Chinese influence.

As you identify these areas of influence, make a note of examples you can use to demonstrate your point. Find images to communicate your point. Make sure that the selected image is permissible to use and provide a citation. The quality of the image matters. Providing a blurry or distorted image will negatively impact the point you are trying to make. The following two sites provide high-quality images that are free to use:

Your PowerPoint slides should be primarily visual, with no more than ten words on any slide. Write explanations for the images you use. If you provide pictures of currency or a writing system, describe the difference or similarity, and explain how the images you selected make your point. To add your explanations, select “Click to add notes” below each slide in your presentation. Write your notes in complete and grammatically correct sentences. The citation for the image should also be noted in this box.

This presentation should be a minimum of ten slides and no more than fourteen slides. Begin your presentation with a Title slide and include the author (your name) of the presentation. Conclude your presentation with a References slide, with a citation for each quotation and image used.
