For this assignment, please review the following scenario and instructions.

Your company has won a bid on a contract to collect and sort Internet data on customer buying patterns for laundry detergent. You will be collecting public data from more than 100 websites. Your company has been contracted to make this collected data usable by indexing and sorting it so that it is searchable by marketing departments to identify specific consumer buying patterns.

These buying patterns will assist in the development of marketing campaigns targeted at appropriate buying populations. In order to do this you have been tasked with the design of an algorithm that will allow marketing departments to search the data to identify these populations. Develop an algorithm to effectively search this data.

Review the Sorting Algorithm Animations website. Assess the sort types included there and choose the sort that best fits with the task you have been assigned. Once you have chosen your sort type, create a solution using pseudo-code for your algorithm.

Include this pseudo-code in your initial post. Beneath the pseudo-code, explain why this sort type is the best option for searching the data and making it available for buyer population identification. Explain why it is a best practice to sort the data prior to searching it in this instance. Provide evidence from your sources to support your statements. Your post should be a minimum of 250 words in addition to the pseudo-code.
