Question description

In this module, we learned about vulnerable populations in our communities. For this discussion, we are going to focus in on sexually transmitted diseases from the perspective of public health nursing. You will be addressing a client who has just been diagnosed with HIV and requires education for each stage of the disease.

In a minimum of 200 words, post your response to the following:

• Describe the natural history of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and plan appropriate client education at each stage.
• Describe the scope of the problem with HIV and identify groups that are at greatest risk.
• Analyze behaviors that place people at risk of contracting selected communicable diseases.
• Describe nursing actions to prevent these diseases and care for people who experience these diseases.
• Be sure to support your response with evidence from your text and a minimum of two scholarly journal articles.
