Students will be required to complete a detailed review of an article and/or news coverage that they will use as the foundation for the final ‘sports news story’ project for ASPN – Avila Sports Programming Network. The thematic content for the paper and your individual podcast is “The Politics of Sport”. The final individual written stories should be the equivalent of 3 pages in length although your final video production for ASPN should be no longer than an 4-5 minute broadcast quality feature. The productions should provide a focused overview and in-depth analysis of the topic you are exploring. You are also encouraged to draw on themes and nuances brought up in the lectures, readings and exercises.
