Imagine that you are working for a human service agency. This week you are being asked to select a research instrument that you would like to use for your study (e.g., survey, questionnaire, interview, community mapping, focus group, etc.). You can use your textbook and other course content to help you identify the various tools and methods from which to choose.

In a 1-2 page paper, identify an assessment tool and discuss what you intend to study or assess.

• Be sure to proofread your work to eliminate spelling and grammar errors. Paper should be in APA format.

Remember, you are selecting a research instrument and not a diagnostic tool (e.g., depression scale, Connors ADD screening tool, etc.). You will be creating your own research instrument.
