Select an organization (can be the company you work for), then select a department within that organization for which to design a Training Needs Assessment.
Using a combination of at least two of the following needs assessment methods below, develop a needs assessment plan in APA format, for the department within the organization you selected.
Needs Assessment Methods:
a. Surveys.
What questions will you ask?
To whom?
Provide a sample survey.
b. Interviews.
What questions will you ask?
To whom?
Provide list of questions.
c. Organizational/Departmental records and reports:
How is performance measured?
Where does it need to improve?
List the names of documents you will review.
d. Observation:
What behaviors will you observe?
From whom? (Hint: meetings, customer service counters, and areas that require safety or compliance are good places to start).
e. Tests.
Provide a sample test, the answers and scoring key
Your assessment should be a minimum of three pages.
Be sure to: Clearly identify the sections (a – e), and sub-sections you selected (in bold); and Integrate course concepts and additional research.
NOTES:
1. Cover Page and Reference Page do not count as part of the page requirement.
