In “Nine Challenges of Alternative Energy” (pp. 386-397), David Fridley argues that the growing cost of and demand for energy, along with the growing concerns of the global climate, leaves us facing, not just a need to explore alternative energy options, but also a myriad of ethical concerns. What are Fridley’s core reasons for concern, and what solutions does he offer his readers? Do you find his solutions singly or collectively persuasive? If so, please explain exactly why. If not, please explain exactly why not.

      At many colleges and universities calculus III is considered a   “weed out” course; a course which a lot of students drop and rethink their   major in doing so. I would like us to see if the number of students who   withdraw, pass or fail the class is independent of the instructor. Test to   see if the grading groups are independent of professor     b. Combine   the Withdraw/F/D into one group and see if the percent of students who   successfully pass the class (A/B/C) is the same for all 5 professors.    c. If you   found a significant difference in part b, do pairwise comparisons of the   teachers (estimate p1 – p2) to find out which professors are significantly   different from the others
